IPTV Smarters and TiviMate are probably the two most popular live player options available today. Almost all IPTV users have heard of or used one or both of these platforms at some point and probably have a favourite.

We believe that choosing between the two (or any other video player) is purely down to personal preference, but here are some of the differences between them that might make the choice easier!

As TiviMate offers a paid/premium version, users will find many features that we don’t see in IPTV Smarters, such as multiple playlist integration and customisable groups/channels.

Smarters has many of the same ‘premium’ features, including an external video player, Picture-in-Picture and even recording options, but most of these work much better in TiviMate.

Other important factors to consider are overall usability and navigation. TiviMate’s main interface is much more user-friendly and pleasant to use, especially when you consider the EPG built into the software.

Watching content is much more engaging with automatic frame rate technology, and selecting/browsing through your channel options is much smoother with less lag/buffering.

Overall, we think TiviMate is a better option if you’re willing to pay for the premium version, but if you’re looking for a free player option, you might prefer IPTV Smarters Pro.
